Engine & Service
Powered by Kubota’s impressive 47.6 HP direct injection V2607-DI engine (Tier IV compliant). Engineered with the power to maximise digging and lifting performance, it also delivers minimised noise, vibration and fuel consumption. Two-piece hose design for the dozer simplifies hose replacement and reduces downtime. Single sided maintenance for operator convenience and easy access to daily maintenance components. Front pin bushes maximise durability and longevity to cut downtime. The U48-4 features long-lasting side panels that open easily for quick inspection and routine maintenance. The panels are located inside the counterweight edge for protection and durability.
Comfort
The luxurious cab features a wider entrance, generous legroom and a deluxe seat. The Roll-over Protective Structure (ROPS) and Operator Protective Guard* (OPG, top guard level I ) maximize safety. Operability is greatly enhanced with more easy-to-use features than ever before.
Hydraulics
The U48-4 delivers an impressive bucket digging force of 3,360 kgf. Its powerful and well-balanced arm and bucket allow the operator to dig faster and more efficiently even in the toughest conditions. With its counterweight protruding a mere 10 mm, this tight tail swing model proves to be highly versatile when undertaking operations wherever space is confined.Kubota’s 1-pump load sensing hydraulic system ensures smoother operation, regardless of load size. It allows hydraulic oil to flow according to the specific range of the operator’s lever motion. The result is greater fuel economy and smoother travelling. The maximum oil flow settings of auxiliary circuits 1 and 2 are conveniently adjustable from the digital panel – no additional tools or complex manual adjusting procedures are necessary. You can even program up to five oil flow rates corresponding to specific attachments into memory on the digital panel.
Versatility
Auto travel shift system automatically shifts from high to low range travel speeds giving operators smoother operation when dozing or turning. Two Pattern Selection System provides the operator the versatility to switch between ISO and SAE pattern. Great if you have more than one person operating the machine. Float position adjusts the dozer height to make a clean level when backfilling, simply travel backwards with the dozer in the float position.
Safety
ROPS and FOPS certified for ease of mind when entering any job site. Auto idle system automatically reduces RPM’s when control levers are left stationary, reducing noise and increasing cost savings. Fuel overflow prevention system beeps in intervals to indicate when full, avoiding spillage. Pre-cleaner system fitted to protect the engine in extreme dusty Australian conditions.
