Listing Description
The Kubota SE4000 Series Mulcher is a powerful multipurpose chopper for grass, pasture, set-aside land and stubble, as well as clippings in orchards and vineyards. A strong double headstock allows for front or rear tractor mounting. Together with the hydraulic offset, this means the SE4000 is versatile in many conditions, from clearing out field edges and orchards to road edges. The hydraulic offset is also ideal for road maintenance.
Product Features
The Kubota SE4000 Series is suitable for tractors up to 140 PTO hp and available in working widths of 2.35 m, 2.80 m and 3.25 m. The central gearbox fitted into the headstock ensures the PTO shaft remains straight in all working positions – even at the maximum 500 mm offset the PTO angle does not change.
Minimal Maintenance
The SE4000 Series has a solid double-skin construction for long working life and minimal maintenance. The central gearbox guarantees a smooth drive, and reduced wear and tear across the whole driveline.
Balanced Rotor
The core of the SE4000 Series is the rotor: the strong, large diameter 219 x 8 mm tube ensures easy, precise balancing and smooth running without vibration. Hammer blades are fitted as standard and the rotor is dynamically balanced in the factory during assembly.
Double Headstock
The SE4000 Series heavy-duty headstock has been tested in challenging situations and provides maximum reliability. The double headstock also allows for front and rear mounting options.
Reliable Roller
The SE4000 Series comes ready with standard roller equipment for reliable depth control in all conditions. The diameter is 160 mm, and the series has a 45 mm integrated bearing hub and greaseable ball bearings. The bearing housing is replaceable and interchangeable via skid.
Smooth Transmission
The SE4000 Series gearbox can take PTO tractor input of 540 or 1000 rpm, by inverting the belt pulleys to keep the rotor rpm constant. The central gearbox provides up to 140 PTO hp with integrated freewheel as standard. The 5 V-belts and automatic tensioner ensure smooth transmission and prevent slippage in tough working conditions. No belt maintenance is required.
Counter Knives and Double Skin
The SE4000 Series comes standard with 2 U-counter knives for more intense shredding in heavy conditions. The double skin provides extra protection during even the toughest conditions.
Front Depth Wheels
There is also an option for front depth wheels. These can be fitted as a kit to the machine to aid in precise depth control and this also gives the ability to carry some of the weight of the machine during working.
